Body Loops /Fragments of Space

Vienna-based artist Sabine Marte works with different media and spaces in her artistic practice. In her 2016 exhibition at Galerie Lisi Hämmerle she first presented large-format drawings. As part of her STARTproject she will go further and create mural drawings in public space.

The themes of her drawings or open body formations and fragments juxtaposed with their surrounding space. At select sites in Feldkirch her project “Körperschleifen/Raumfragmente“ will set body drawings into a performative interplay with their surroundings. The dimensions of the body in relation to the dimensions of a wall, bridge or street allows us to think about bodies and spaces in new ways. The boundaries between them are not clearly demarcated between spaces, bodies and things, but become inherently blurred in our perception.
